The Hope of the Resurrection (Job 13:28-14:17)

The Hope of the Resurrection (Job 13:28-14:17)

Job’s resurrection exists. Paul says, surely leaning upon Job for inspiration.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17b For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first…and so we will always be with the Lord.

The voice Job longed to hear from Sheol, the realm of the dead, will cry out with command. And it will awaken the dead. “Job, you’ll hear the voice of your redeemer…and the King will long for the work of his hands.” The King’s voice will awaken the dead, to the unimaginable glory of the resurrection life. Glory hallelujah!
