There will be moments and seasons in your life, following a period of fruitfulness, where the appearance of your circumstances matches the curse, rather than the blessing. When you look out upon the land (figuratively speaking) God has given you, and you see famine rather than promise.
You see the absence of God rather than the presence of God. Maybe it’s a marriage. Maybe it’s rebellious child. Maybe it’s a physical or mental affliction. Maybe it’s a financial crisis. Maybe it’s the infliction of evil upon you.
The question is, how will we respond in the face of such circumstances?
