Jesus the Nazarene, Lord of Salvation (Acts 2:14-36)

Jesus the Nazarene, Lord of Salvation (Acts 2:14-36)

Under the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, Peter declared to the gathered crowds, and all the residents of Jerusalem, that the arrival of the Spirit portended the Messianic Age of salvation, and that they murdered God’s Messiah, Jesus the Nazarene. The Spirit continues to this day, testifying to the peoples of the earth, that Jesus is the Lord, the one whom to call upon for salvation. Luke writes in order to circumstantiate the arrival of the Messianic Age and demonstrate that Jesus is the Lord upon whom people will call for salvation.
