We can understand that outright opposition, antagonism to Jesus is spiritually calamitous. But apathy and indifference prove themselves to be just as damning as outright rebellion. When standing before Jesus, Pilate saw nothing. Herod heard nothing. Both were completely indifferent.
When you stand before the King, what do you see? A man? A myth? Or the King? Jesus is the King. The King of an eternal Kingdom. There are no inconsequential responses to Jesus.
What are the consequences of indifferences to a career? To a family? Even simply to a friend? To a particular situation?
How much more to the Most High King of all creation?
