In this passage, we see the absolute wonder and offensiveness of God’s grace. While so many look at Jesus, mock his ability to save, and deny the wonder of salvation, there are others who simply believe and are saved. God’s grace is free and it extends to all who believe it comes without price. Even men of murderous backgrounds find their hope, forgiveness, and salvation in his grace.
