From Darkness, Light (Luke 23:44-49)

And how wondrous the love and salvation of God. That He, knowing humanity couldn’t come near to Him, lest they die, knowing they couldn’t be far from him, lest they die, eagerly desired for them to know him. To love him. To be loved by him. To know the fulness of what a relationship with the Living God could be. And was willing to die the most horrific and ignominious death, not just that we might be pardoned, not just that we might be redeemed, not just that we might live in freedom, but that we would be able to experience the full extent of reconciled God and humanity.
So while darkness is zealously celebrating, Jesus accomplishes the most marvelous act of destruction known to man. The eradication of the wall, the blockade, the barricade of hostility, that kept man far from God.
