God is Lord of heaven, earth, and everything contained within them. Therefore, a proper response to the Lord is giving to him what is his. All people have the image of God on them and are the Lord’s. Jesus himself is the exact image of God (meaning, to see Jesus is to see God). Therefore, when we see Jesus we should acknowledge his authority in our life and live for him, doing what pleases him.
