Reflecting the Imago Dei in community (Colossians 3:9-17)

In Christ, we have been given a new name, a new identity. We bear the name of Christ and are a new creation formed in His image. This compels to live out our new identity in a manner worthy of Christ. We do this in community, the fellowship called the church. We are to be people who love others, forgiving them, seeing them as worthy of the truth, breaking down social and ethnic barriers in order that we might be unified and live in perfect harmony with each other. Jesus says if we do this, people will see how deeply we love each other and know we are His followers.
