King of Mere Mortals (Ecclesiastes 6:10-7:24)

King of Mere Mortals (Ecclesiastes 6:10-7:24)

In this passage we see that the world is full of death and oppression. How is a person supposed to live amidst such a wicked world? To begin, we are all mere mortals, people for whom the bell tolls at some point. The best way we can live is to understand that eternity is coming soon and prepare wisely for it. In addition, The Preacher tells those who fear (to live in awe and amazement of) God to be full of joy, and find their hope in God whether in prosperity or oppression.
