For those who are in Christ, according to the great mercy of God, you have been born again into a living hope, awaiting a glorious inheritance with your Father and brother and Savior.
So live righteously like such things are true. Because your righteous life is not only appropriate for your salvation, but it’s appropriate to gain salvation for those who hate you.
Living righteously in the face of hostility has a way of bringing people to the shame of their own sin like nothing else can. And when they recognize that you have a hope for living that they can’t even fathom, then give the reason. Jesus. He is our hope.
