…Now, I don’t often “feel” blessed. I often find it difficult to comprehend blessing of life eternal in future glory with God in the new heavens and new earth.
Our minds strain at trying to grasp God, even by his Holy Spirit. One of Paul’s great prayers for the church was that God’s people would be strengthen in power by the Holy Spirit to understand God’s love in Christ. We cannot simply understand God’s love in Christ. Our weak and feeble minds and hearts must be strengthened with the very power of God to do so.
When the miseries of life weigh you down, it’s difficult to grasp that God has blessed his people. But regardless of whether we grasp it or not, if you are in Christ, you have been blessed by God. You have received his covenant blessing. There’s not another blessing waiting for you. You have it. This blessing that God pronounced for Israel was pronounced upon the whole, apart from any other requirement other than they were counted part of God’s covenant people. In the new covenant, blessing comes from God, by the Holy Spirit, through Christ. So, if you have believed upon Christ, genuinely, in your heart, and turned from your sin by trusting Christ for forgiveness of sin, and thus been reconciled to God, you have been blessed, because you have been brought into the fellowship of God’s covenant people.

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places…
Meaning, every blessing that God could offer through his Holy Spirit, from the storehouses in his throne room, has been granted to those who believe upon Christ. It’s already yours. Whether we feel like it or not. The challenge then, is to believe it by faith, and live by faith, regardless of how we feel.
“The Lord bless you and keep you.” In Christ, it’s done. That’s a guarantee…
