The Kingdom of God Comes in Compassion (Luke 13:10-21)

Jesus reveals his compassion for the afflicted and those bowed by shame. The Pharisees on the other hand are more concerned for their traditions than they are for people. The Gospel is for the weary and heavy laden. It is for the sick. It is for those who know their need. We are called to respond to the Lord’s offer of rest. We are called to be people of compassion and mercy. We are called to value people and their needs above our traditions.
